Broker Associate
RE/MAX Associates Northeast

Personalized service, professionalism, business sense and a love for her community and the profession she has chosen are the qualities that distinguish Joan Imperato as one of the top realtors in the Houston area.  Serving Kingwood, and Northeast Houston for more than 30 years, Imperato’s philosophy in real estate has remained the same.  “Every customer, regardless of price range is given the highest level of service, care and respect”.

Purchasing a home is one of the most important decisions one makes.   It is a multi-faceted process, which can be confusing and intimidating to many buyers.  By taking the time to carefully explain the process in detail and listen to her customer’s needs and wants, Joan’s service to her customers is personalized and special.  “By exposing buyers to different areas and products, interpreting features, amenities and locations and providing information about financing, schools and lifestyle, I try to make the process simpler for the buyer so they can make an educated decision”.

Selling a home can also be a complicated process.  With so much information available on the internet, sellers are inundated with conflicting and sometimes erroneous information and numbers.  Joan’s vast experience and knowledge of the real estate market afford her customers a realistic, accurate and optimistic presentation of their home’s value.  Her market analysis presentation is thorough.  With the assistance of professional stager, photographer and office staff, her customers are assured of first class service, from listing to closing.

When you work with Joan Imperato, you can bet that your relationship will not end with closing.  Whether it is her annual customer luncheon, meeting in the grocery store or at a community event, or in her quarterly real estate and market updates, Joan stays in contact with her past and present customers, “My customers know that I am always available to answer questions, give an opinion or offer them real estate advice”.

Joan began her career in 1985 and joined RE/MAX Associates in 1986, as one of the 8 founding members.  Since that time she has assisted over 3,000 families find homes ranging from $60,000 to over $5 million.

Ranked as a top producing RE/MAX agent locally, statewide and nationally, Imperato has been Kingwood’s and Northeast Houston’s #1 top producing, listing and selling agent since 1987.  She has received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, Hall of Fame, Platinum Club, Chairman’s Club, Diamond Club and the coveted Circle of Legends Award.  She has also been recognized in the Houston Business Journal as a top real estate professional since the inception of the award.

In addition to all of the real estate awards, honors and accolades, her most cherished honor is as a wife, mother and grandmother.  Joan and her husband, Ralph, have lived in Kingwood since 1982.  Her three children Ted and Jon Imperato and daughter Alison Imperato Brookby were raised in Kingwood, attended the award winning Kingwood schools and enjoy professional careers and presented Joan with her 10 grandchildren.  They are her pride and joy.

Joan has been active in community activities. She has served on the Board of Family Time and was honored as a Woman of Achievement, a board member of Just About Kids, and of the Donne Di Domani.  She is a member of Mothers Against Cancer and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston.

In the last few years, Joan decided that the team concept would be a natural progression for her real estate business. She was serving her customers and clients well with the assistance of her professional 5 member office staff.  However she felt that in order to maintain and improve the high level of service, she needed the assistance of licensed REALTORS®.  However finding the right individuals who share her work ethic and energy was difficult.

Three years ago, Joan found that person.   Joan invited Calista Anderson to join her in her real estate business.  Joan had worked with Calista and her husband in buying and selling homes for themselves and as investors. Calista was working with a small real estate broker and expressed an interest in expanding her real estate career.  Joan was impressed with Calista’s work ethic, her effervescent and easy going personality, her multitude of talents, her vision and willingness to learn and grow.  Joan has not been disappointed.  Calista is a tremendous asset to the Joan Imperato Team.

This year Joan was fortunate to be introduced to Jenny Viney, whose children were friends of her son and grandchildren.  Jenny is an impressive woman.  She had enjoyed a successful career as a nurse practitioner, where she was dedicated and focused on her patients. When she moved to Kingwood, she decided to embark on a new career in real estate. Jenny was working with another real estate company in Kingwood for a brief period.  In a conversation with her son, Joan learned that Jenny was energized by the possibility of joining RE/MAX and her team.  Jenny’s work ethic, intelligence, enthusiasm and personality complimented the team.  In the short time that Jenny has been a team member, she has proved to be another tremendous asset to the Joan Imperato Team.

When a customer and client works with the Joan Imperato Team, one thing is very clear, they will receive first class service, attention to detail and gain friends for life.
